Chicken Caesar Pasta salad - on repeat for this week ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
BLT pasta salad - I actually love that this recipe uses arugula. You should probably make this this week. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spring Orzo Pasta Salad with Crispy Shallot Vinaigrette — I’ve never made this before, so I’ll update you. I am going to pair it with some grilled shrimp. Doesn’t that sound so bomb?
DRINKS
Cappuccino — I am a hot coffee girl. I made an iced latte this week to sip by the pool and it was not as enjoyable as the hot cappuccino I chugged before swimming the next day.
Attention, attention! I bought bananas and heavy cream. We are making banana cream lattes and matchas.
Don’t think I forgot, the rice is soaking for this week’s matchatas (matcha with horchata)
NON-FOOD CONSUMABLES
📚 Against White Feminism: Notes on Disruption by Rafia Zakaria (currently track 5 of 14). I love it already & yes, I bought a physical copy.
I get my audiobooks from Libro.fm — if you like the idea of supporting your local bookstore, but you love audiobooks, might I suggest checking them out. (Here’s my invite link — if you sign up with this link, I get a free book credit)
📓 Junk Journaling! My dorter and I are starting junk journals this summer. It’s actually so fun. She spent all Friday working on her junk journal page from our recent trip to Santa Cruz.
📺 Summer House (Peacock). I am so over Jessi and Lexi. I’m hoping the girls get their own spin off in the city. Sneaky Links (Netflix) is as dumb and cringey as you think it is and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
How many Pedro Pascal edits did you watch this week? Yes. (TikTok)
RFK Jr.’s MAHA report referenced studies that simply do not exist. Rebranding misinformation/disinformation as formatting issues is very much in alignment with the MAHA clean wellness community. (Washington Post). Coming in hot with second-hand embarrassment, apparently they went back to correct the formatting issues and released it with new
errorsformatting issues. (Instagram)Fingers crossed we get an updated Covid vaccine 🙃 TikTok’s neighborhood immunologist thinks the outlook is not great (TikTok)
Ruh roh! The girls are fighting. The CDC contradicts RFK Jr and says kids may get the COVID vaccine, no word yet on pregnant people (Axios). An Amazon beige aesthetic influencer sued another Amazon beige aesthetic influencer. This is NOT satire (TikTok)
Gen Z healthcare professionals bringing the vibes and the vibes are glorious. (Threads)
Hot acquisition summer! E.l.f cosmetics acquired Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Beauty (AP News) Verde Valle Foods acquired A Dozen Cousins (Business Wire). Love this for them.

5 Kitchen Gadgets I Can’t Live Without
Coffee grinder — Yes I’m that person who grinds coffee beans every (other) day. It’s fine. I taught my 4 year old how to do it and I look forward to the day where he can make my cappuccino.
Lemon squeezer — You know the kind the fruit cart guys use? I love getting every freaking last drop of juice.
Bamboo tongs — The best low-key multipurpose tool. I use them to lift fragile things out of the frying pan and also to chase my kids around, doing this exaggerated pinching motion. They make the most satisfying snap sound.
Mandoline slicer - There’s something so freaking satisfying about thin, uniform slices.
Mini food processor — I love my lil Cusinart. It’s actually the perfect size and I am fully committed to making small-batch everything. It’s very hipster of me.
Which Drink Are You? Take this extremely scientific quiz to find out if you’re a flirty iced matcha latte, a hot hot hot cappuccino, or glass of room temp water.
